ACTIVE SHOOTER URBAN RESONSE course

Service Description

The Active Shooter Urban Response (3) day course empowers every day concealed carry pistol permit holders with the tools needed to act as a full spectrum first responder in the urban environment. Whether you are at the mall with your family, out at the movies with your friends, enjoying dinner at your favorite restaurant, this course will build your ability to be an asset rather than be a liability when seconds count and law enforcement is minutes away. DAY 1 (NOVEMBER 25TH: 8-12PM) * Active shooter prevention and response, situational awareness, decision making in chaos, de-escalation techniques, justified use of deadly physical force (NYS Penal Law Art. 35), foundational pistol handling, shot timer stress inoculation, shooting positions, single person movement - intro to obstacles. DAY 2 (DECEMBER 30TH: 8-12PM) * Shooting with cold weather jackets and gloves, reaction and response when holding bags, purses, etc., Low light shooting techniques, low light movement, communication, 2 and 3 person movements, Tactical Combat Casualty Care DAY 3 (JANUARY 13TH: 8-12PM) What to do when police arrive, hallway, stairwell, and room clearing, avoiding "blue on blue" situations, casualty collection points, weapon retention, force on force culminating exercise STUDENST WILL NEED TO BRING WITH THEM: * Valid NYS Pistol Permit * Pistol with holster * Extra Magazine with holster * Pistol mounted or handheld flashlight * Hearing and Eye Protection * 300 rds of ammunition * Winter jacket and gloves Less than lethal training pistols, holsters and magazines will be provided Targets will be provided Medical training devices will be supplied
